Building Maintenance Worker
We are currently looking to hire a Building Maintenance Intern at Westside this summer.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible participants.
Summary of Position:
As part of the Westside Maintenance Team, the candidate will perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep our church buildings looking great! To work well in this role the candidate should have basic maintenance knowledge around building repairs, outdoor work, hand and power tools, painting, using a ladder (dealing with heights), the ability to lift at least 25 pounds, and some experience cleaning.
The position has a job length of 8 weeks full-time at $17.50/hr.
