Child & Youth Worker
We are currently looking to hire 2 Child and Youth Ministry Interns at Westside this summer.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible participants.
Summary of Position:
The Child & Youth Ministry Intern will work alongside the Youth & Young Adults Director to gain hands-on experience in key areas of ministry, including: weekly kids & youth ministry planning and coordination, volunteer leadership, curriculum preparation, classroom/environment cleaning and organization, special event planning, and ministry administration. While the intern will have specific responsibilities, they will also help develop and implement strategies to strengthen and enhance our kids and youth environments throughout the summer and into the 2026/27 ministry year.
The 2 positions each have a job length of 8 weeks full-time at $18.60/hr.
